Refund policy
Overview
At FAB Furniture we want you to be completely happy with your order. This policy explains how to return an item, when you are entitled to a refund, and how your statutory rights apply. It sits alongside — and never replaces — your legal rights as a consumer in the United Kingdom.
Our 30-day return promise
In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 30-day return window on most items. If you change your mind, you may return an item within 30 days of delivery for a refund, provided it is unused and in its original condition and packaging.
Your statutory cancellation rights
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel most online orders within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. Our 30-day promise above is offered voluntarily and is more generous than this minimum.
How to start a return
- Email us at support@fabfurniture.co.uk with your order number and the item(s) you wish to return.
- We will confirm your return and send simple instructions and the return address.
- Pack the item securely, ideally in its original packaging.
- Send it back, or — for larger furniture — arrange the collection we offer (see below).
Return address
Returns should be sent to: FAB Furniture, 66 Sorbus Drive, Crewe, CW1 4EX, United Kingdom. Please contact us before sending anything so we can log your return and help it go smoothly.
Condition of returned items
Items must be returned unused, undamaged and complete, with any tags, fittings and original packaging. We may reduce a refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the item, in line with your statutory rights.
Items that cannot be returned
- Personalised, bespoke or made-to-order items, unless faulty.
- Items sealed for hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken.
- Gift cards.
- Items that have been used, assembled or modified beyond inspection.
Cost of returning an item
If you are returning an item because you have changed your mind, you are responsible for the cost of return unless we agree otherwise. If an item is faulty, not as described, or was sent in error, we will cover all return costs.
Collection of large or furniture items
For larger furniture we can arrange a courier collection to make returns easier. Where a change-of-mind return requires collection, a reasonable collection charge may apply, which we will confirm in advance.
How and when we refund
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund to the original payment method, normally within 5 to 10 working days. We will always refund within the statutory time limits once the goods are received or you provide proof of return.
Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If an item is faulty you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. Please contact us with your order number and photographs and we will put it right.
Damaged in transit
Please check your order on arrival. If anything arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours with photographs of the item and packaging so we can arrange a replacement or refund quickly.
Exchanges
If you would like a different item, the simplest route is to return the original for a refund and place a new order. We are happy to help you choose — just get in touch.
Sale items and discount codes
Items bought in a sale or with a discount code such as WELCOME10 can be returned under the same terms; any refund will reflect the price actually paid after the discount.
Cancelling before dispatch
If your order has not yet been dispatched, contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to cancel it and issue a full refund.
Delivery charges
Where you exercise your statutory right to cancel, we will refund standard delivery costs. We are not required to refund any supplement you chose to pay for a faster delivery service.
Late or missing refunds
If you have not received a refund within the timescale above, please first check with your bank or card provider, then contact us and we will investigate immediately.
